  • Bugonia
  • F1
  • Frankenstein
  • Hamnet
  • Marty Supreme
  • One Battle After Another
  • The Secret Agent

Which film leads the nominations?

Sinners emerged as the biggest contender of the year, earning a record-breaking 16 nominations. It is closely followed by One Battle After Another with 13 nominations. Marty Supreme, Frankenstein, Sentimental Value, and Hamnet also secured multiple nods across categories.

Best Actress: a crowded field and one major snub

  • Timothée Chalamet — Marty Supreme
  • Leonardo DiCaprio — One Battle After Another

  • Chloé Zhao — Hamnet
  • Josh Safdie — Marty Supreme

Supporting roles and early surprises

One of the first major shocks of the announcement was Paul Mescal missing out on a Best Supporting Actor nomination for Hamnet. Meanwhile, his co-star Jessie Buckley comfortably secured a nomination in the leading actress category.

Nominees for Best Supporting Actor include Stellan Skarsgård, Sean Penn, Jacob Elordi, and Benicio del Toro, highlighting the strong ensemble performances recognized this year.

When will the Oscars take place?

The 98th Academy Awards ceremony will be held on March 15. US comedian Conan O’Brien will return as host for the evening.
