Uzbekistan has proposed new amendments aimed at improving the system for detecting and processing traffic violations. According to the draft government resolution, the interaction between Road Patrol Service (YHX) officers and road users, as well as the use of special technical devices, will be updated and clarified.

The document clearly defines the procedure for using mobile devices to identify violations. In addition, mechanisms for recording offenses using portable radar cameras and mobile complexes will be further improved.

Under the new rules, when a violation is identified, officers must first explain the nature of the offense to the driver. Only after that can they proceed with checking documents and taking appropriate action.
Which technical tools will be used?
The draft also clarifies the use of devices such as breathalyzers, drug testers, taumeters, and tablets. All such equipment must have valid certification.
What rights will drivers have?
Drivers will have the right to request certification documents for any device used. If they doubt the accuracy of the recorded violation, they may also demand to see calibration certificates for the equipment.
