A major case of illegal use of natural gas has been uncovered in Ohangaron district of Tashkent region. Inspections revealed unauthorized consumption of natural gas valued at 1 billion 603 million sums.
Special working groups have been established across regions to inventory gas usage by consumers, identify violations of regulations, and implement preventive control measures.
One such inspection was conducted in Ohangaron district with the participation of compliance control units of the gas supply branch, employees of the district gas supply department, and representatives of law enforcement agencies.
During the inspection, it was found that a resident of the “G‘alla quduq” neighborhood, living on Quruvchilar Street, citizen G.S., had set up a meat processing workshop in a building adjacent to his residential property.
The workshop was illegally connected to the natural gas network without the required contracts or design and technical documentation, in violation of established regulations.
An official report was drawn up regarding the violation, and the volume of illegally used natural gas was recalculated. The total amount of damage was assessed at 1 billion 603 million sums.
All relevant documents have been forwarded to law enforcement agencies for legal assessment. Control and preventive measures aimed at preventing illegal use of energy resources are ongoing.
