“Enterprise Uzbekistan” Digital Hub to Operate Under Special Legal Regime Until 2100

Uzbekistan is establishing an International Digital Technology Center under the “Enterprise Uzbekistan” brand. The project will operate under a special legal framework valid until 2100, as announced during a presidential presentation.

What opportunities will the center provide?

The center will introduce a regulatory sandbox, allowing companies to test innovative solutions in a controlled environment. It will also enable salaries to be paid in foreign currency, adopt international labor standards, and process personal data using global standards and cloud technologies.

What incentives will be offered?

The initiative includes strong protections for intellectual property, as well as favorable conditions for attracting investment, supporting startups, and expanding exports. Participants will also benefit from tax and customs incentives.

Which areas will be prioritized?

Key focus areas include artificial intelligence, digital transformation, research and development, certification systems, startup ecosystems, and data center infrastructure.

What are the targets by 2030?

By 2030, the project aims to attract up to 1,000 companies, create more than 300,000 jobs, and generate up to $5 billion in export capacity. Several major international technology companies have already shown interest in participating.
