Alphabet Becomes the World’s Fourth $4 Trillion Company After Google’s AI Breakthrough

Alphabet, the parent company of Google, has officially become the fourth company in the world to reach a market capitalization of $4 trillion. The milestone was achieved shortly after Alphabet’s valuation surpassed Apple’s, driven by renewed investor optimism around the company’s artificial intelligence strategy.

A key catalyst was Apple’s recent announcement that it plans to use Google’s Gemini AI as the foundation for the next-generation version of Siri. This confirmation significantly strengthened market confidence in Alphabet’s long-term AI leadership.

According to CNBC, Alphabet needed only a 1% increase in its share price to cross the symbolic threshold. Shares rose to $331.86, pushing the company’s total valuation beyond $4 trillion.

Alphabet Joins an Exclusive Group of Tech Giants

Alphabet now stands alongside Nvidia, Microsoft, and Apple in the exclusive club of U.S. companies valued at more than $4 trillion. Nvidia and Microsoft first reached this level in July of last year, while Apple crossed the mark in October.

However, both Apple and Microsoft temporarily fell below the $4 trillion level afterward, as fluctuations in stock prices reduced their market capitalization. Alphabet’s recent surge has now placed it firmly among the world’s most valuable corporations.

Alphabet Stock Performance Stands Out

Alphabet’s stock showed exceptional performance over the past year. The share price increased by 65%, marking the company’s strongest annual growth since 2009. During that period, following the global financial crisis, Alphabet’s stock price had nearly doubled.

In 2025, Google introduced its proprietary Ironwood computing accelerators and unveiled the Gemini 3 AI model. The new model received positive feedback from both industry experts and everyday users, further reinforcing Alphabet’s technological position.

Why Investors Trust Alphabet’s AI Strategy

Unlike many AI-focused startups such as OpenAI, Alphabet benefits from strong internal funding sources. The company can independently finance the development of advanced AI models as well as the large-scale infrastructure required to support them.

This financial independence has significantly strengthened investor trust. As a result, Alphabet’s market capitalization continues to grow, supported by confidence in its long-term AI roadmap and its ability to compete at the highest level of the global tech industry.
