An attempt to illegally smuggle pharmaceutical products has been stopped in the Tashkent region, according to the press service of the regional Customs Department.

Where did the incident occur?

The case was detected at the “Navoi” border customs post located in the Tashkent region. Customs officers became suspicious of a citizen due to his unusual behavior and decided to carry out an additional inspection.

What was discovered during the inspection?

During a personal search, officers found that the man had hidden a large quantity of pharmaceutical products under his clothing in an attempt to evade customs control.

It was reported that the individual had taped 141 packages of medicines to his legs using adhesive tape, trying to transport them illegally across the border.

What actions have been taken?

A preliminary investigation is currently underway. Law enforcement authorities are working to determine all the circumstances of the case and will provide a legal assessment of the individual’s actions.
