Introduction
Avatar is not just a science-fiction film, but an epic story that reflects the intense conflict between humanity and nature, technology and values.
When do the events of Avatar begin?
2154 — Avatar (2009)
Jake Sully is sent to the moon Pandora. Humans, through the RDA corporation, begin exploiting the planet’s resources.
2170 — Avatar: The Way of Water
Sixteen years later, Jake Sully becomes a family man and lives among the water Na’vi clan — the Metkayina.
After 2170 — Avatar: Fire and Ash
Pandora becomes even more dangerous. New clans and internal Na’vi conflicts come to the forefront.
🎥 Avatar 3 Filming
2017 — James Cameron began filming Avatar 2 and Avatar 3 simultaneously.
A large portion of Avatar 3 scenes were filmed together with Avatar 2 to prevent the young actors from aging too quickly.
🌊 Avatar 2 and 🔥 Avatar 3: Comparison
What makes Avatar 3 different?
- The Na’vi are not always portrayed as purely good
- Fire symbolizes destruction and internal conflict
- The line between good and evil becomes blurred
This film is expected to be the darkest and most controversial chapter of Pandora’s story.
