Manchester United has announced the dismissal of Ruben Amorim from the position of head coach. The decision was confirmed by the club’s press service.
In the upcoming 21st-round Premier League match against Burnley, the team will be temporarily managed by Darren Fletcher.
The 40-year-old Amorim was appointed head coach in November 2024. Under his leadership, the club finished last season in 15th place in the Premier League table and reached the UEFA Europa League final, where they lost 0–1 to Tottenham.
In the current Premier League campaign, Manchester United has collected 31 points after 20 rounds and sits sixth in the league standings.
