According to the report, Mojtaba Khamenei was in the same complex as his father, along with his wife and son. On the morning of February 28, shortly before the strike, he stepped into the courtyard and was outside when the explosion occurred.
“He had gone out into the yard for something. He was outside and looking upward when a missile struck the building,” the protocol official reportedly said.

Mazaher Hosseini stated that Mojtaba Khamenei sustained a minor leg injury as a result of the explosion. The attack was described as coordinated, with multiple parts of the office complex hit simultaneously.
