Cameras begin to recognize drivers: those with disqualified drivers are now automatically identified

According to the Road Traffic Safety Service, cases where individuals deprived of their driving licenses operate vehicles will now be automatically detected through surveillance cameras installed on roads. This was reported by the source.

How do the new cameras work?

Authorities stated that modern photo and video surveillance cameras installed on roads are equipped with facial recognition technology capable of identifying drivers. Through this system, the identity of the person operating the vehicle can be determined.

The system compares the driver’s identity with official databases. If the person driving the vehicle has been deprived of their driving rights, the violation will be automatically recorded.

Why was this technology introduced?

Specialists emphasize that such technologies help ensure compliance with traffic regulations. In addition, they play an important role in preventing violations and further strengthening safety on the roads.

What penalties are предусмотрены by law?

According to current legislation, a person who drives a vehicle after being deprived of their driving license will face a fine equal to 50 times the basic calculation amount if the offense is detected for the first time.

If the same violation is committed again, the offender may face a punishment of up to three years of imprisonment.

What warning is given to drivers?

Experts are urging all drivers to strictly follow traffic regulations. They particularly stress that individuals who have been deprived of their driving rights must not operate vehicles.

Such actions are not only illegal but also pose a serious threat to road safety.
